Position Overview
As the HCM Implementation Lead, you will be the primary architect and conductor of our Human Capital Management (HCM) software deployments. This role sits at the intersection of strategic project management and hands-on solutioning. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the entire implementation lifecycle—from initial discovery and design to go-live and post-production support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership & Planning
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead the delivery of complex HCM projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Project Planning: Create, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, defining milestones, resource allocation, and critical paths.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep the implementation on track.
2. Project Governance & Communication
- Governance Meetings: Organize and facilitate steering committee meetings and regular project status updates with executive stakeholders.
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for client leadership, building trust and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
- Escalation Handling: Serve as the first point of escalation for project issues, resolving conflicts professionally and efficiently.
3. Solutioning & Technical Excellence
- Business Analysis: Lead discovery sessions to gather complex business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end HCM solutions (Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Benefits, etc.) that align with industry best practices and client needs.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the testing strategy (UAT, SIT) and ensure the final solution is robust and error-free.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in HCM implementation (e.g., Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or Dayforce).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading full-lifecycle enterprise HCM implementations.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. You must be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Project Management: Proficiency with PM tools (SmartSheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar) and a deep understanding of PMP or Agile methodologies
Required Skills
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR business processes, global payroll regulations, and data privacy standards.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
