Job Title: Marketing Intern
Reports to: Executive Support Associate / Inside Business Development Manager
The Marketing Intern will support the execution of marketing initiatives, including social media, content development, and campaign coordination. This role is designed as a growth opportunity, with the potential to move into more complex and robust marketing roles.
Duties:
- Support leadership in planning and executing marketing campaigns for brand building and lead generation, aligning with overall company goals and sales targets.
- Create and manage all social media postings for Impact Rentals. Works with leadership on content and message, maintains social media calendar and provides metrics on engagement.
- Assist in drafting basic marketing content such as captions, simple copy, and promotional messaging.
- Work with leadership team on updating and creating quarterly internal newsletters.
- Assist in creating marketing materials for internal meetings and presentations.
- Help gather and analyze data to reach insights about brands, competitors, and trends.
- Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insights, and assess against goals.
- Manage website updates for all Impact Rentals including content uploads and basic edits.
- Conduct market and competitor research to support campaign development
- Partners with Branding Consultant as needed for rebranding or branding updates.
- Partner with leadership to develop branded apparel or other materials for distribution.
- Research new industries to produce relevant content based on the company needs.
- Assist in coordinating with vendors for marketing related materials or services as needed.
- Coordinate company events, lunches or team building events as needed for Impact Rentals.
- Other special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or related field
- Familiarity with heavy equipment rental industry preferred, but not required
- Strong interest in digital marketing and branding
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Knowledge and willingness to utilize Canva and other proprietary software to deliver marketing designs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to navigate a jobsite as needed, including the ability to wear any required personal protective equipment (hardhat, closed toed shoes) and understand any posted or verbal safety guidelines.
- Must be able to move around the office, retrieve files, and operate office equipment.
- Must be able to operate video/photo capturing equipment effectively.
- Must be able to work full-time in an office environment, using a computer to perform most work responsibilities.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, in the English language.
