Job Title: Impact Communications & Domain Research Intern
Organization: The Intersections ("Do-Tank") [theintersections.in]
Location: Hyderabad (Remote / Hybrid)
Focus: Knowledge Synthesis & Expert Engagement
About The Intersections
The Intersections is a Hyderabad-based "Do-Tank" dedicated to bridging the gap between social equity theory and real-world urban impact. Through our six Civic Innovation Labs—ranging from Waste Management to Climate Resilience—we transform university campuses into "Living Labs." We are now looking for a curious, articulate intern to help us translate expert insights into public action.
The Role
As the Impact Communications Intern, your primary responsibility is to facilitate high-level dialogues between The Intersections and subject matter experts (SMEs). You will act as the bridge between technical urban research and public awareness, ensuring that the complex solutions developed in our Labs are accessible, engaging, and actionable for our growing community of 1,000+ Student Ambassadors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Expert Liaison: Identify and engage with thought leaders, policy makers, and urban practitioners across our six core domains.
• Knowledge Synthesis: Conduct structured online discussions and interviews to extract key insights on urban problem-solving and social equity.
• Multi-Channel Dissemination: Translate these long-form expert dialogues into high-fidelity, short-form digital assets. You will be responsible for curating the organization’s digital voice and presence across our primary community touchpoints.
• Narrative Building: Work closely with the founder to ensure that our "Audit-to-Action" mission is communicated effectively through educational and storytelling-driven content.
• Community Education: Use the insights gathered from experts to create "briefs" and visual explainers that guide our "Shadow Workforce" in their on-ground audits.
Who You Are:
• Academic Curiosity: You are a student of Management, Public Policy, Communications, or Social Sciences with a deep interest in urban challenges.
• Refined Communication: You possess the gravitas to interview industry veterans and the clarity to summarize their thoughts for a broader audience.
• Digital Fluency: You understand how to use digital platforms for movement building. You are comfortable with tools that help package information into aesthetic, high-value formats (video, text, and graphics).
• Self-Starter: You are capable of managing the "Full Stack" of a conversation—from the initial outreach and research to the final digital output.
Why This Role?
• Network Building: Engage directly with the people shaping the future of Hyderabad’s urban landscape.
• Thought Leadership: Build a portfolio that showcases you as a moderator and a communicator in the social impact space.
• Mission-Driven Work: Your work isn’t just an internship but drives real-world data collection and policy change through our "Living Labs."
