Position Title: Shift Engineer Oil Gas
Type: Permanent (on-site)
Job Purpose
Ensure safe and efficient operation of refinery/petrochemical units during the shift while maintaining process parameters and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate plant units (CDU/VDU, reactors, compressors, utilities) via DCS
- Maintain process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, level)
- Handle start-up, shutdown, and emergency situations
- Lead and supervise field operators during the shift
- Ensure compliance with HSE, PTW, and LOTO procedures
- Troubleshoot process issues and minimize downtime
- Coordinate with Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation teams
- Maintain shift logs, production incident reports
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical / Mechanical / Petroleum
- 3 years experience in refinery/petrochemical/oil gas plants
- Knowledge of DCS, PID, process operations
