Job Title: IT Support Engineer

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer for plant location who will act as a single point of contact for all IT-related activities at plant. The role requires strong hands-on knowledge in networking, desktop support, vendor co-ordination, and execution of IT initiatives in alignment with Head Office IT Team.

Key Responsibilities May Include

• Vendor AMC Management and co-ordinate with local vendors for IT hardware, networking, CCTV, and support services. Manage AMC calls and ensure timely resolution within SLA Follow-up for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• User Support Hardware Management, provide end-to-end IT support to plant users (desktop, laptop, printers, peripherals). Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and network-related issues independently.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
• Coordination with HO IT Team. User creation / access management. Issue escalation and resolution. Implementation of IT initiatives. Ensure proper follow-up and timely closure of all tickets
• Networking (Strong Hands-on Required). Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues. Basic handling of switches, firewalls, and network devices. Coordinate with ISP for ILL/MPLS/Internet issues and uptime.
• Backup Endpoint Management and monitor and ensure success of daily backup jobs.Handle endpoint systems and ensure security compliance. Manage antivirus / endpoint protection systems.
• CCTV Surveillance Management and so manage CCTV systems (IP cameras, NVR/DVR).7.Support regulatory and compliance audits (IT-related) and maintain logs, documentation, and audit records.
• Ensure adherence to IT policies and standards.
• Execution of HO IT Instructions and implement IT policies, upgrades, and projects as directed by HO IT. Act as on-ground execution point for all IT initiatives
• Strong hands-on experience in desktop support troubleshooting
• Good knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, basic firewall handling)
• Experience in vendor coordination SLA management
• Working knowledge of backup systems endpoint security
• Hands-on experience with CCTV systems (IP cameras, NVR/DVR)
• Basic understanding of IT budgeting and cost tracking
• Ability to handle issues independently at plant level
