Job Overview
The Training Intern supports the Training & Development Specialist by assisting with training content development, onboarding support tools, and the organization and implementation of learning resources across IFT Worldwide. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in corporate training, instructional design, and workforce development while supporting the successful rollout of a new Learning Management System (LMS).
This position is project-based and focused primarily on developing and improving training tools, materials, and LMS content. The intern will support training consistency across production and office teams.
Responsibilities
Training Content Development & Support (Primary Focus)
· Assist in developing training resources such as job aids, checklists, quick reference guides, and onboarding tools.
· Convert existing training content into standardized templates for consistency and ease of use.
· Update outdated materials for clarity, formatting, and usability.
· Assist in developing onboarding guides and role-based training checklists.
· Support creation of microlearning materials such as short videos, visual one-pagers, and training summaries.
· Assist in documenting processes by working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture key training steps.
LMS Implementation & Support (New System Rollout)
· Support the rollout of IFT Worldwide’s new Learning Management System by assisting with course setup, organization, and content uploads.
· Help migrate training content from existing systems or shared folders into the LMS.
· Assist with testing and validating learner access, course functionality, and assignment accuracy.
· Support formatting of course content, quizzes, surveys, and knowledge checks.
· Assist with troubleshooting basic LMS user issues and escalate concerns to the Training & Development Specialist.
· Help organize and maintain digital training libraries and file naming/version control.
Continuous Improvement Projects
· Assist with documenting and improving training workflows to support consistent onboarding and qualification practices.
· Help collect feedback from trainees and supervisors to identify gaps or improvement opportunities.
· Support the development of standardized training templates and organizational systems.
· Assist with maintaining training resource folders and improving accessibility for trainers and employees.
Training Session Support (Non-Lead Role)
· Assist with preparation of training sessions including printing materials, preparing handouts, organizing sign-in sheets, and technology setup.
· Support trainers and SMEs with training logistics as requested.
Administrative Support (Limited Scope – Not to Exceed 20%)
· Assist with training record updates, tracking, or attendance documentation as assigned.
· Support scheduling tasks only as requested by the Training & Development Specialist.
· Assist with training reminders or communication updates as needed.
Presentation / Facilitation (Optional)
· May observe training delivery sessions to gain experience.
· May co-facilitate or assist with delivery of standardized onboarding sessions if desired and approved.
· Presentation responsibilities are optional and based on intern interest, readiness, and coaching support.
Qualifications
· Current student or recent graduate in education, HR, communications, business, psychology, organizational development, or a related field preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and consistency.
· Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Ability to take feedback and revise work efficiently.
· Interest in training, workforce development, instructional design, or HR preferred.
· Experience with LMS platforms, Canva, or video editing tools is a plus (not required).
