Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Manager with 12+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including significant exposure to US Life Insurance products and processes. The ideal candidate will lead QA strategy, test management, automation initiatives, and quality governance across insurance product implementations, ensuring high-quality delivery of business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall QA strategy, test planning, and quality assurance framework for insurance applications.
- Manage end-to-end testing activities including Functional, Integration, System, Regression, UAT, and Automation Testing.
- Lead and mentor QA teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Project Managers to understand business requirements and quality objectives.
- Drive test automation initiatives and continuous testing within Agile/DevOps environments.
- Review test plans, test cases, defect reports, and quality metrics.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards relevant to the US Life Insurance domain.
- Monitor defect lifecycle management and conduct root cause analysis for quality improvements.
- Prepare and present testing status reports, quality dashboards, and release readiness assessments to stakeholders.
- Support production validation and post-release quality reviews.
Mandatory Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance.
- Strong experience in the US Life Insurance domain is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with Life Insurance products such as :
- Term Life Insurance
- Whole Life Insurance
- Universal Life Insurance
- Annuities
- Policy Administration Systems
- New Business & Underwriting
- Claims & Benefits Processing
- Billing & Premium Management
- Proven experience in leading QA teams and managing large-scale testing engagements.
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, Defect Management, and Quality Governance.
Technical Skills
- Test Management Tools : Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM/Quality Center.
- Automation Tools : Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, UFT, Tosca (preferred).
- API Testing : Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured.
- Database Testing : SQL Server, Oracle.
- CI/CD & DevOps : Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps.
- Performance Testing knowledge using JMeter or LoadRunner is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- ISTQB, CSTE, or similar QA certifications preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
