INCUBATION ASSOCIATE

The ideal candidate we envisage would be someone with a first degree in science or engineering, with a further degree and/or strongly relevant experience in the areas of finance, marketing or business development. Knowledge of and familiarity with the challenges faced in a start-up environment would be an added advantage. The job tasks will include some or all of the following: Assistance with new incubatee admission process – evaluating business plans Coordinate interactions between incubatees and mentors (industry/domain experts) Further develop existing evaluation system to assess incubatee/startup progress Facilitate interaction of incubatees with in-house business service providers Coordinate development and delivery of training courses to incubatees as appropriate Perform such other duties as required and appropriate to the objectives of this position and the needs of the organization The role will mainly be based out of IITMIC office at IIT Madras Research Park, Taramani. However the candidate may be required to travel on specific calls either for conferences or networking meets. Compensation package will be offered based on education and experience.

IITMIC oversees all entrepreneurial activities emerging out of the IIT Madras ecosystem. It nurtures technology and knowledge based ventures through their start-up phase by providing the necessary support to help entrepreneurs survive in the competitive market and reach a stage where they can scale-up their ventures further. The IC aims to to create an ecosystem comprising resources, networks, competencies and expertise in key areas of technology, innovation, business, government and policy.
