Job Description
IIoT Project Engineer will be mainly responsible for -
- Installation, commissioning and support of PlantConnect for various applications and verticals
- Establish connectivity of PlantConnect RTDAS with various PLCs, smart sensors and other equipment
- Configuration of PlantConnect
- Programming of PLC and HMI used as part of PlantConnect
- Interactions with customer engineers related to site setup including hardware, network, cabling etc.
- Troubleshooting
- Training of users
- Documentation related to above tasks
- Any other tasks assigned by manager
Qualifications
- Engineering graduate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or equivalent
- PLC, HMI programming courses
Skills
- Hands-on experience in connectivity with PLCs using communication protocols like Modbus, OPC is mandatory
- Understanding of field cabling for RS485 and Ethernet communication
- PLC and HMI programming experience of at least one of these brands - Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, REPL, Delta
- Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to build rapport with customer engineers and domain users
Experience
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Work experience in IIoT projects is highly desirable
