Varuna Sentinels BV is a specialist maritime compliance and focused on IHM Maintenance, Material Procurement Systems (MPS), and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for vessels. We help ship owners, managers, and suppliers maintain compliance with the Hong Kong Convention and EU Ship Recycling Regulation.
Position Overview
We are hiring an IHM Technical Compliance Intern for our remote team. This role is ideal for candidates with a Naval Architecture, Maritime Studies, or vessel technical background who want to build a career in ship compliance and marine documentation.
Only candidates with marine or vessel-related educational background should apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support maintenance and updating of IHM documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers for Material Declarations (MDs)
- Verify procurement and compliance records
- Organize ship technical files and hazardous material records
- Assist in compliance reporting and documentation
- Support internal LCA and ESG related processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Final-year students or recent graduates in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Studies, or related fields
- Basic understanding of ship systems, marine equipment, or technical procurement
- Good skills in Excel / Google Sheets
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
