Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented candidates for our IHM Technical Compliance Internship. This remote internship is ideal for those aiming to build a career in ship compliance, marine technical documentation, and procurement-based environmental assessments. Candidates will be part of our IHM department, directly contributing to technical evaluations, supplier coordination, and compliance documentation across vessel portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Interns will be trained and assigned responsibilities such as:

• Supporting the maintenance and update of IHM documentation and hazardous material records
• Coordinating with suppliers for compliance documentation, including Material Declarations (MDs)
• Assisting with MPS (Material Procurement Systems) data verification and audit trail documentation
• Helping prepare reports and tracking compliance performance across vessel systems
• Contributing to internal processes aligned with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) practices in maritime operations
• Participating in digital tool feedback from a marine technical user’s perspective (not development)
• Organizing and validating ship-specific technical procurement and hazardous material files

Technical & Functional Skills

• Basic familiarity with marine equipment, ship components, or technical procurement
• Good command of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Understanding of or willingness to learn IHM, LCA, and maritime compliance regulations
• Exposure to MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) or supplier documentation (preferred)
• Clear written communication skills for supplier outreach and technical follow-ups

Preferred Qualifications

• Final-year students or recent graduates in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or Environmental Sciences
• Background in technical documentation, procurement, or marine compliance workflows
• Interest in vessel regulations, environmental impact assessments, or classification society processes
