We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Technician – QA Incoming Goods.

 

This role Develops and implements inspection procedures, provides disposition of nonconforming products, and provides metrics and analysis as needed to ensure that production quality is at its best. Will focus on inspecting received/incoming material

.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Trains, leads, and supports Quality Inspectors in quality assurance and quality control principles.
  • Prepares graphs or charts of data and enters data into computer for analysis; develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
  • Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics; may establish statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error and determining levels of confidence.
  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
  • Records test/inspection/audit data, applying statistical techniques; guide technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
  • Acts as member of the Material Review Board and participates in related activities, failure analysis and corrective action investigations. Assesses the cost of, and determines the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications by performing analysis.
  • Read dials, meters, and screen profiles to see if equipment is functioning properly, also conducts process audits per procedures and process control plans.
  • Housekeeping: Help with keeping the production environments clean. Assist and maintain 5s practices. Conducts 5S audits during the shift at assigned machines and communicates results.
  • Communicate audit findings with supervisors, peers, or technical staff and ensures proper disposition of non-conforming product.
  • Position or connect parts or instruments for testing or operation; use tools or equipment for inspection purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
  • English Language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. up to 10 times per day during an 8 hr. shift; Able to bend and stand in for 8-10 hours a day and walk for extended periods; Must be able to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away; Must be able to see differences between colors, shades, and brightness; Ability to adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with speed changes of moving objects; Must be able to use fingers and hands to grasp, move or assemble very small objects.
  • Work environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months. High noise level requires hearing protection.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with reading blue prints and bill or materials.
  • Familiarity using measurement gages, (calipers, micrometer, height gage, torque wrench, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Oracle: Obtain BOMS, Work Order Reports and other Discover reports.

 

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:

  • Works independently
  • Oracle experience
  • Quality inspection experience
  • Records test/inspection/audit data, applying statistical techniques
  • Able to use Oracle.
  • Able to read part prints.
  • Knowledge of measuring parts using gages (tape measure, calipers, micrometer, height gage, torque wrench, etc.).
