Role Description
This is a remote, contract-based position for an IGCSE Global Perspectives Tutor. The tutor will provide personalized one-on-one sessions to students through interactive video calls, helping them understand key concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and enhance their research abilities. Responsibilities include planning and delivering effective lessons, adapting to students’ individual learning needs, assisting with assignments and exam preparation, and providing constructive feedback to help students excel in their IGCSE Global Perspectives course.
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives (0457) syllabus
• Experience teaching CAIE board (preferably having completed at least one full academic cycle)
• Clear understanding of:
• Ability to guide students in research, analysis, evaluation of sources, and reflective writing
• Familiarity with assessment criteria and mark schemes
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Prior online teaching experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
• Teach IGCSE Global Perspectives (Grades 9–10) as per CAIE guidelines
• Guide students in research methodology, source evaluation, and argument development
• Mentor students through Individual Report and Team Project components
• Conduct regular assessments and provide structured feedback aligned with Cambridge rubrics
• Support exam preparation with past paper practice and examiner-style feedback
