Role Description The IGCSE Chemistry Facilitator will design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that help learners build a deep understanding of chemistry concepts and practical skills. Daily responsibilities include planning lessons, preparing teaching resources, conducting laboratory sessions safely, assessing student performance through assignments and tests, and providing constructive feedback. The facilitator will maintain accurate academic records, support learners’ exam readiness, and collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular and values-based learning. The role also involves communicating with parents and guardians about student progress and contributing to school events and enrichment activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruppur.
Qualifications
- Strong subject matter expertise in Chemistry, with thorough knowledge of the IGCSE curriculum and assessment standards.
- Proven classroom facilitation and instructional skills, including lesson planning, differentiated teaching, and effective use of teaching aids.
- Competence in conducting and supervising laboratory work, with a clear focus on safety, accurate experimentation, and practical skill development.
- Assessment and evaluation skills, including designing tests, grading fairly, tracking progress, and using data to improve learning outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage learners, collaborate with colleagues, and maintain professional relationships with families.
- Ability to integrate values education, student-centered pedagogy, and co-curricular activities to support holistic development.
- Comfort with basic educational technology, digital resources, and online tools that support teaching and learning.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field; a recognized teaching qualification and prior experience with IGCSE or international curricula are highly beneficial.
