About the role
Construction Security Monitor with TS/SCI Clearance with CI-PolySpringfield, VAJoin IDS International’s Cleared Programs team supporting secure and mission-critical environments.The Construction Security Monitor supports construction security operations by controlling access to the site, monitoring construction personnel and activities, and ensuring compliance with established security procedures. This role requires continuous observation of construction processes, documentation of daily activities, and reporting of security incidents and anomalies. The Security Monitor operates within an active construction environment and is responsible for maintaining security awareness and enforcing site procedures.Key Responsibilities- Control access to the construction site
- Screen and escort personnel, materials, and tools entering or leaving the site
- Monitor and observe construction workers during assigned tasks
- Maintain control of construction materials within or moving to/from the site
- Produce daily logs of all activities and events
- Report all security-related incidents to the SSM
- Report anomalies and counterintelligence-related incidents immediately and without delay
Required QualificationsClearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) requiredCitizenship: U.S. CitizenEducation: High school diploma or GED equivalentRequired Experience:- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong report writing skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret documents and accurately apply rules and procedures
Physical Requirements:- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout secure facilities for extended periods of time
- Position may require occasional lifting and/or movement of moderate amounts of weight, depending on assignment requirements
Preferred Qualifications- Three (3) or more years of similar experience
- High level of accountability
Work Schedule & ConditionsSchedule: Monday–Friday, 0600–1430Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per weekOvertime may be available or required.
