About The Role The Director of Finance at Ideogram will lead financial strategy, reporting, and analysis to drive informed decision-making and optimize company performance. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, oversees key metrics, and identifies opportunities for sustainable growth. What You'll Do Analyze and optimize financial performance, including product pricing, offerings, and operational expenses. Prepare, review, and manage financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements. Oversee bookkeeping processes, including invoicing, payments, and expense tracking. Ensure compliance with sales and income tax regulations in collaboration with external vendors. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operations and improve financial efficiency. Prepare updates and reports for the board and investors to support strategic decision-making. What We're Looking For Experience in finance at a tech startup Strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning Expertise in managing financial operations Proactive problem-solving mindset Founding team Our founding team consists of world-renowned AI experts including Mohammad Norouzi, Jonathan Ho, William Chan, and Chitwan Saharia. This team has previously led transformative AI projects at Google Brain, UC Berkeley, CMU, and the University of Toronto. Our fundamental work in AI includes: Imagen: Google’s text-to-image system, Imagen Video for video synthesis, Denoising Diffusion Models, which is the foundation of the recent generative media transformation.
