Identity & Access Management (IAM) Administrator
Position Summary
The IAM Junior Administrator supports the management of user identities, access privileges, authentication systems, and cloud identity services across the organization's IT environment. This role assists in user provisioning, access reviews, compliance activities, AWS IAM administration, and troubleshooting access-related issues while ensuring adherence to security policies and regulatory requirements.

- First 6-8 weeks Timing 6pm to 3pm for training purposes.
Key Responsibilities
User Access Management
- Create, modify, and disable user accounts across enterprise systems and applications.
- Process access requests in accordance with established policies and approval workflows.
- Perform user onboarding, transfers, and offboarding activities.
- Maintain role-based access controls (RBAC) and user group memberships.
- Help provision and deprovision access across enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
Identity Administration
- Support the administration of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), LDAP, or similar identity platforms.
- Manage password resets, account unlocks, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enrollment.
- Assist with Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and troubleshooting.
- Document IAM configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
AWS Identity & Access Management
- Assist in creating and managing AWS IAM users, groups, roles, and policies.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of least-privilege access controls.
- Help manage IAM roles for AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, and other cloud resources.
- Troubleshoot basic AWS access issues, including permission errors, policy conflicts, and role assumption problems.
- Support access provisioning and deprovisioning within AWS environments.
- Maintain documentation of AWS IAM configurations, standards, and procedures.
Access Governance & Compliance
- Conduct periodic user access reviews and certification campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of access control procedures and user permissions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing access-related evidence and reports.
- Assist in monitoring privileged access and segregation of duties controls.
Incident & Problem Management
- Investigate and resolve identity and access-related incidents.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IAM administrators or security teams.
- Monitor IAM systems and identify potential security concerns.
- Participate in root-cause analysis for recurring access issues.
Reporting & Documentation
- Generate reports on user access, privileged accounts, and compliance metrics.
- Maintain IAM operational procedures, knowledge base articles, and process documentation.
- Track and document service requests through ticketing systems.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Experience
- 0–4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, cybersecurity, cloud administration, or IAM-related roles.
- Experience working with ticketing systems and IT service management processes is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
- Familiarity with:
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- LDAP
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- AWS Identity and Access Management (AWS IAM)
- AWS Management Console and basic AWS CLI usage
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and cloud environments.
- Basic understanding of PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages is a plus.
- Experience with IAM tools such as SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, Ping Identity, Saviynt, or similar solutions is advantageous.
Security Knowledge
- Understanding of:
- Least Privilege principles
- Segregation of Duties (SoD)

- Identity security best practices
- Cloud security fundamentals and AWS IAM concepts

- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
