About the role

Handle commercial loan files from application to closing and assist with processing commercial loan files submitted by Commercial Loan Officer. Work together with Commercial Loan Officers, Underwriters, and Processors in achieving the goals of the department.

 

This position will be located at Chubbuck, Meridian, or Coeur d'Alene

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and process all incoming commercial loan applications submitted by assigned Commercial Loan Officer.
  • Assist Commercial Loan Officer in communication with members when necessary to perform function associated with loan requested.
  • Perform various preliminary reviews on loan files and assist with ordering necessary file requirements such as title reports, flood determinations, hazard binders, and appraisals.
  • Ensure accuracy in loan file requirements, prior to submitting to underwriting as well as closing.
  • Ensure loans have necessary financials and narratives to complete a standard underwrite prior to submitting loans to underwriting for consideration.
  • Assist in the completion of the loan with orders, verifications, and any other requirements throughout the loan closing process.
  • Assist Commercial Loan Officer's with obtaining necessary required items prior to closing.
  • Communicate with internal and external members including vendors throughout the entire loan process.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. One or more years of loan processing or assistance experience preferred. Excellent communication and people skills with an eye for detail. Able to work under pressure and multi-task in an organized manner.

 

Performance Standard:

Must take pride in department by processing and assisting with loans in a timely and efficient manner with a high attention to detail. Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a strong sense of urgency as well as focuses on attendance, quality and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
