Responsibilities:
Coordinates and participates in Combat Systems (CS) specific or C4I shipboard events and tests in support of production, BT, AT, delivery, post-delivery, FCT and PSA.
Leads CS or C4I technical investigations; performs ship checks; provides interface control drawing (ICD) comments for GFE or CFE.
Provides CS/C4I programmatic, engineering, technical assistance; maintains direct interface with associated PARMs; and participates in various Combat Systems related IPTs. Provides technical support for ship, boat, and craft CS/C4I design and systems integration.
Resolves CS/C4I technical installation, interface, or integration issues. Resolves CS/C4I trial cards screened GA.
Review and comment on drawings, test plans and test procedures as required to prepare for shipboard testing events.
Function as a liaison between the Program Office and the SPAWAR CS/C4I Systems Integrator.
Monitor installation of CS or C4I systems in new construction or post-delivery.
Assess CS/C4I system performance based on test results.
Provide review of CS/C4I related ECPs, FMRs or HMR in support of PMO change control board.
This position will require some travel to selected U.S. shipyards and fleet concentration areas.
Experience:
Greater than 4 years’ Navy Combat Systems or C4I installation, testing, maintenance, and modernization experience
Experience in interacting with senior NAVSEA program office and SPAWAR technical and acquisition personnel is highly desired.
Knowledge of Military Sealift Command is a plus.
