About the role

HYTE, a leading manufacturer of cutting-edge PC components and peripherals is on the lookout for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Public Relations Specialist to join the team. As our Public Relations Specialist, you will work closely with our Public Relations Manager to drive HYTE’s product launches, support the brand at the various events we attend, while continually strategizing and executing promotional campaigns to elevate HYTE in the hardware and consumer technology industry. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns to enhance brand visibility and drive awareness of HYTE’s lineup. This includes leveraging various channels such as traditional media, influencer partnerships, and digital platforms. 
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key tech, hardware, and gaming stakeholders. Act as a primary contact for media inquiries and interview requests. 
  • Create compelling press releases, media kits, and other materials that communicate key messages, product launches, and company updates. Craft engaging and persuasive narratives that resonate with target audiences. 
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to coordinate, and oversee events and product launches to ensure seamless execution and memorable experiences for maximum awareness. 
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, provide timely reports on campaign performance, and leverage insights to optimize future initiatives. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, emerging platforms, and consumer behaviors to identify PR strategies, promotional opportunities, and anticipated challenges. 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, social media, and other departments, to align messaging, ensure consistency with communications, and maximize opportunities. Leverage internal expertise and resources to amplify PR efforts and drive cohesive brand storytelling. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives. Provide PR insights and recommendations to ensure campaign success and alignment with overall brand strategy for maximum reach and impact. 
  • Proactively manage crisis communication plans, protocols, and reputation with iBUYPOWER’s Public Relations Manager, ensuring swift and effective responses to potential issues. Co-develop various SOPs to ensure seamless preparation and planning for product launches, events, and other promotional initiatives. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus. 
  • 2-3 years of experience in managing PR campaigns and driving successful outcomes.
  • Proven track record of successful PR experience in the tech and/or gaming industry, preferably in hardware manufacturing, consumer technology, and/or gaming peripherals/components. Demonstrated understanding of the consumer technology and hardware landscape, industry trends, and target audience. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences. Exceptional storytelling ability and a keen eye for detail. 
  • Strong network of media contacts in the consumer technology, gaming, and hardware space. Existing relationships with key influencers and journalists are highly desirable. 
  • Creative thinker who can generate innovative PR ideas and capitalize on industry trends, with the ability to think creatively and develop unique angles to capture media attention. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively. 
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, analytics tools, and PR software (Cision, PR Newswire, Muckrack, etc.) Experience with media monitoring tools is a plus. 
  • Passion for gaming, consumer technology, hardware, and knowledge of HYTE’s products and brand. Understanding of gaming/anime/pop culture communities, including the broader consumer technology and hardware industry ecosystem, are major pluses. 
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships. 
  • If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on start date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full vaccination means receiving the second dose in a two-dose series (i.e. Pfizer, Moderna), or a single-dose vaccine (i.e J&J). Examples of proof of full vaccination include an original, photocopied, or digitally completed vaccination card that includes name, type of vaccine provided, and date of last dose administered.
