Introduction
We are seeking highly experienced professionals with 15+ years of IT expertise to join as IBM Sterling OMS Solution Architects. This role requires strong architectural leadership, hands-on design, and deep domain knowledge in OMS and retail.
Job Description
As a Software Architect – IBM Sterling OMS, you will:
- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-class OMS solutions.
- Define solution architecture and detailed technical design for Sterling OMS initiatives.
- Mentor teams in coding, customizing, and deploying Sterling OMS solutions.
- Translate functional requirements into scalable, resilient, and maintainable architectures.
- Oversee end-to-end development including design, deployment, debugging, and documentation.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security standards are met.
- Manage technical requirements for Sterling OMS (v10.0) including APIs, workflows, and DB extensions.
- Provide architectural governance and conduct design/code reviews.
- Lead integration with external systems (WMS, ERP, Commerce, TMS, Inventory).
- Drive secure, cloud-ready OMS development aligned with Agile methodologies.
- Contribute to automation, reusable components, and standardized artifacts.
Primary Skills
- 8+ years of architecture and solution design experience with IBM Sterling OMS.
- Advanced Java development expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Sterling OMS configurations, workflows, DB extensions, and APIs.
- Experience with DB2 and Oracle databases (performance tuning, indexing, queries).
- Proficiency in XML, JSON, MQ, WebServices, REST APIs.
- Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
- Hands-on experience with GCP or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Git and modern DevOps practices.
Secondary Skills
- Integration of Sterling OMS with MQ, WebServices, and cloud-native components.
- Kubernetes and Docker deployment experience.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Strong collaboration, planning, and organizational skills.
