Your Role And Responsibilities

The Royalty & Payment Management Squad Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and guiding team members toward achieving strategic goals. They coordinate the team, manage stakeholder expectations, foster collaboration, mentor team members, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

This role plays a critical role in managing and optimizing royalty agreements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with business controls. This role requires a strong background in finance and accounting, expertise in contract management, proficiency in data analytics and automation tools, and the ability to work within Agile frameworks to drive process efficiency and continuous improvement.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Key Responsibilities:

Royalty Accounting & Financial Analysis

  • Ensure accurate calculation, tracking, and reporting of royalties.
  • Perform financial reconciliation of royalty payments.
  • Analyze trends in royalty payments and contracts to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities related to royalties.

Contract Management & Compliance

  • Review and interpret royalty agreements to ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions.
  • Perform risk analysis and recommend alternatives to mitigate financial and contractual risks.

Agile Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Apply Agile methodologies to implement process efficiencies and improvements.
  • Participate in planning sessions, retrospectives, and other agile practices to deliver tactical and transformations outcomes.

Required Professional And Technical Expertise

  • Finance & Accounting Background.
  • Experience with financial reporting, auditing, and compliance.
  • Strong team leadership and mentorship capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with risk management, internal controls, and financial governance.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency in data analytics and automation tools.
