Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Mastery of UX/UI and/or Visual Design Best Practices (Wireframing, Research, Prototyping, IA, etc.)
- Facilitation & Design Thinking
- Excellent written communication and storytelling skills
- Understanding of Enterprise Design Thinking and how to use it to drive to user centric solutions of complex technical problems
- Understanding of how to use user research methods (formal and informal) to uncover critical user, business and technical needs
- Experience and knowledge of design tools
- Understanding of AGILE, LEAN, design methodologies
- Knowledge of how to use workshop techniques to align diverse stakeholders around a business centric outcome
- Able to connect the user and service design with the broader business context and business framing to design a holistic solution to clients
- Fluent English
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Understanding of IBM Enterprise Design Thinking and how to use it to drive towards user centric solutions of complex technical problems
- Understanding of how to use user research methods (Qualitative and Quantitative) to uncover critical user, business and technical needs
- Skilled in UX design as applied to a variety of problems in domains such as Data, AI, Security and Business Automation
- Highly skilled in UX research and design best practices; excellent written communication and storytelling skills
- Understanding how Hybrid Cloud and AI technologies can bring value to our clients and their users
- Ability to translate complex business problems into a valuable and desired solution
- Supports business value framing, value realization, and orchestration practices of the Client Engineering team
- Positively influence client relationship through all points in client satisfaction
- Drive Alignment and Buy-in using participative design and co-creation activities in client conversations
- Works collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment to shape solutions and inspire innovation
- Knowledge of how to use workshop techniques to align diverse stakeholders around a user-centric outcome
- Applies IBM Design Thinking methods; translating requirements into hypotheses, research, and facilitation to uncover emotional connections with products
- Stays up to date on the latest design tools and methods
- Uncover additional relevant problem areas through research and participative activities in client conversations (organically lead to cross-sell opportunities)
- Quickly identify (or validate) the real problem behind a clients ask through User Research and Design Thinking Activities
- Turns ideas into reality with a focus on innovation and development of new processes, ways of work, and technology
