Key Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide operational support for IBM Db2 UDB databases (Prod & Non‑Prod)
- Perform Db2 installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
- Monitor performance, capacity, and availability; proactively resolve issues
- Manage backup, restore, recovery, and DR readiness (including HADR)
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and drive preventive improvements
- Implement and support data masking solutions for sensitive data
- Design and manage data archiving strategies aligned with retention policies
- Ensure database security, access controls, and audit compliance
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and maintain SOP/runbooks
- Support AWS RDS environments for monitoring, performance, and troubleshooting
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with IBM Db2 UDB administration
- Production DBA experience in large, high‑availability environments
- Solid understanding of performance tuning, HA/DR, and security
- Experience with data masking and data archiving tools/concepts
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Working knowledge of AWS RDS (additional/desired)
- Scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar)
