Role Overview
We are seeking a
Senior IBM DataPower Platform Administrator with 6–8 years of experience to manage and support enterprise
IBM DataPower platforms. The role is primarily focused on
platform administration, production support, and operational stability, with exposure to development and CI/CD processes.
This position requires a hands‑on senior resource who can independently own firmware upgrades, certificate management, performance tuning, and production incident handling in a high‑availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
- End‑to‑end administration of IBM DataPower deployed on physical servers
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and version management
- Manage staff and server certificate renewals and SSL/TLS configurations
- Maintain overall platform health, uptime, and capacity
Performance, Monitoring & Security
- Analyze and tune DataPower performance
- Integrate and manage monitoring and logging using Kibana, OpenSearch, or similar tools
- Support DataPower security features including AAA policies, SAML, LDAP, SSL/TLS
Production Support & Operations
- Act as an L3 support resource for complex production and non‑production incidents
- Troubleshoot connectivity, policy, certificate, and integration issues
- Participate in incident management, RCA, and preventive actions
- Provide weekend support on a need basis
Development & CI/CD Enablement
- Working knowledge of SOAP/REST, XML, XSLT, message transformations
- Support deployments via CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix scripting
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of hands‑on IBM DataPower platform experience
- Strong expertise in firmware upgrades, platform maintenance, and certificate management
- Experience with production support (L3) in enterprise environments
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging
- Strong communication and ownership mindset
Ideal Candidate
- Platform‑focused DataPower expert (not limited to one‑time upgrades or certifications)
- L3 support background with exposure to development projects
- Comfortable handling high‑severity production incidents independently
