Cyber Security Engineer

Your Role And Responsibilities

Cyber Security Engineer, IBM Corporation, Herndon, VA (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted):

• Deliver backend solutions supporting CISO clients.
• Operate cloud-based platform that ingests, processes, aggregates, and distributes real-time security data through backend microservices.
• Work on all stages of software development and leverage functional knowledge to turn a concept into a finished product.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to remediate gaps in cybersecurity posture and implement mitigation solutions.
• Work on the company’s cloud to build a lab for vulnerability management team in a secured way to perform scanning and testing proof of concept.
• Identify vulnerabilities within the corporate IT environment and administer Linux servers that support global email data loss prevention initiatives.
• Utilize Linux, Python, Cloud Security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).
  
  

Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Linux, Python, Cloud Security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB). $108,701 to $178,200 per year. Full time. H196.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
