As an OMS Architect, you will be applying your expertise on the OMS product to provide functional and technical expertise to the client and to the project team. You will be required to understand the client’s business processes and the technical requirements to provide the OMS implementation solution to the client and direct the project team with the implementation. As the OMS architect, you will be responsible for the overall quality of the system architecture, designs, developed code and deployment. You will be driving the testing phases of the project and will ensure that the deliverables meet the client’s business and technical requirements. Additionally, you will be required to mentor functional and technical consultants within the project team.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As an OMS Architect, you will:

• Participate in client meetings and workshops
• Prepare estimates for the project implementation
• Work closely with the project manager and project team to identify project resource requirements to ensure project success
• Define the solution and the technical design for the implementation
• Provide product implementation and technical expertise to the team during the various phases of the project
• Review technical designs, code and test cases as required to ensure quality of deliverables
• Report and communication the project implementation status, issues and risks proactively
• Work closely with the product engineering team to resolve product related issues
• Define the string testing strategy and review the test cases to ensure coverage
• Guide the team through the testing phases
• Provide inputs to the performance testing team on system constraints and performance implications
• Work closely with the performance testing team to resolve performance related issues in the implementation
• Act as a liaison between the client and product engineering for developing custom client solutions
• Provide feedback to product engineering on product roadmap
• Participate in product/feature release workshops and keep yourself well-informed of new product versions and/or features
  
  

Preferred Education

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• 12+ years of relevant experience in solutioning, designing and developing using Sterling OMS
• Hands-on experience in Sterling OMS Store and Call Center (customization and configuration)
• Should have been a part of at least three end-to-end implementations in Sterling OMS
• Hands-on experience in Java, XML, XSLT, J2EE, JavaScript, Oracle/DB2, WebSphere/WebLogic, MQ
• Readiness to travel
• Excellent communication, people management and leadership skills
• Ability to pick up and learn technical features in upcoming Sterling OMS product releases
• Able to guide a team of lesser experienced professionals
• Solution ownership of the project scope and works with the project manager to ensure quality
• Solution the implementation by maximizing product features
• Active participation in Solution Definition and provide the estimates (TCO)
• Support the RFP process
• Travel to support definition and deployments
• Drive technical and solution decisions
• Experience in DevOps activities pertaining to OMS implementations
• Experience implementing OMS on AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
  
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• 4+ years of leading and mentoring teams
• Experience in OMS Performance tuning and testing
• Sterling OMS Certified
• Good understanding of Microservices architecture and cloud technologies
