Job Description: IB English Teachers (IBDP & MYP)

Position Overview
We are seeking passionate and experienced
IB English Teachers for both
Diploma Programme (DP) and
Middle Years Programme (MYP). The ideal candidate will bring strong subject expertise, a commitment to inquiry-based learning, and the ability to develop students’ language, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with IB DP and MYP frameworks
- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical analysis skills
- Foster a love for literature and language through interactive teaching strategies
- Design inquiry-based and differentiated learning experiences
- Assess and monitor student progress using IB assessment criteria
- Prepare students for IB DP assessments (Paper 1, Paper 2, and Internal Assessments) where applicable
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents
- Integrate ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills into teaching practices
- Collaborate with faculty for curriculum planning and interdisciplinary learning
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English or related field
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification
- IB DP/MYP training or certification (preferred)
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience (IB experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of IB curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment practices
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
