Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced IAM IGA Engineer with proficiency in configuring. coding, developing, integrating systems and implementing new capabilities to meet IGA and business requirements. Within this position, the ideal candidate will be designing and implementing Saviynt Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions to support The Hartford’s modernization of identity lifecycle management. This role involves delivering IGA capabilities using Saviynt IGA, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues with the platform, integrated enterprise systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards. Practitioners will work closely with global IAM teams to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable identity governance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation & Configuration
- Lead end-to-end implementation and configuration of Saviynt IGA solutions.
- Configure and implement OOTB connectors (e.g., Active Directory, Oracle DB, Postgres, RACF, AS400, PeopleSoft, Linux, SCIM etc.), workflows
- Develop and customize Saviynt workflows, connectors, and rule sets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable IAM solutions.
- Manage and execute migration projects from OIG to Saviynt, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Work with ISPM (Identity Security Program Management) to align project delivery with enterprise IAM strategy and governance frameworks
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Participate in release planning and follow change management processes.
- Assist in investigating and resolving identity-related incidents under guidance from senior team members.
- Implement minor fixes or configuration changes as directed to restore service quickly, update incident records and knowledge base articles after resolution
- Workflow & Automation
- Design and enforce RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and policy-based access models.
- Implement periodic access reviews and automate certification campaigns.
- Support compliance and regulatory requirements for both Internal and External auditors
- Develop custom workflows and rules for identity provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Build and manage REST API connectors for onboarding applications and authoritative sources.
- Compliance & Security
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., NYDFS, SOX) and internal security policies.
- Implement Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls and compliance campaigns.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work with Hartford application teams to integrate with IGA
- Support audit requirements to balance application integration
- Work with global IAM teams to support production deployments and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders
- Candidate must have the ability to work closely with the Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures), ensuring timely patching and compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, infrastructure, application owners) to resolve incidents efficiently
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), with a focus on Saviynt.
- Proven experience in Saviynt deployment, development, and configuration.
- Saviynt EIC/IGA, connectors (AD, Azure AD, JDBC), REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, SQL, scripting.--- update this with lead
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts including provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and role-based access control.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, JavaScript) and REST APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to design and deliver Saviynt training sessions for technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience in migrating from Oracle Identity Governance (OIG) to Saviynt.
- Experience working within ISPM frameworks and contributing to IAM program governance.
- Saviynt certification(s) or equivalent training.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and integrating Saviynt with cloud services.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Experience on other IGA platforms like SailPoint, Okta, OIG etc.
