Job Title: Cloud / IaC Automation Engineer
Location: India (Remote)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Automation Engineer to support cloud infrastructure automation, Terraform migration, CI/CD pipeline development, and self-service provisioning. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Harness, cloud infrastructure, automation scripting, ServiceNow, and policy-as-code.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess cloud subscription and hub configurations, including infrastructure scripts, secrets, and configuration management, to ensure migration and automation readiness.
- Develop and maintain Terraform import scripts to support large-scale infrastructure migration and automation.
- Build bulk migration automation and integrate infrastructure naming engines with provisioning workflows.
- Execute Terraform state imports, validate Terraform plans, and troubleshoot infrastructure deployment issues.
- Configure and manage Sentinel policies at the workspace level to enforce infrastructure governance and compliance.
- Develop Harness pipeline definitions for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and automation workflows.
- Configure Harness connectors, approval gates, and integrations with cloud and enterprise platforms.
- Implement CMOD/ServiceNow workflow automation to enable self-service cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Develop automation workflows and integrations for ITSM and cloud provisioning processes.
- Support disposition tooling and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain accelerator templates and reusable automation frameworks for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to standardize and automate cloud deployments.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure automation, Terraform state, pipeline, and provisioning issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with Terraform state management, imports, modules, workspaces, and plan validation.
- Experience developing Terraform automation scripts and supporting bulk infrastructure migrations.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and subscription/hub architecture.
- Experience with Sentinel / Policy as Code and implementing governance policies.
- Hands-on experience with Harness, including:
- Pipeline development
- Connectors
- Approval gates
- Deployment automation
- Experience with ServiceNow workflow automation and self-service provisioning.
- Strong scripting/automation skills using tools such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with secrets management and secure handling of infrastructure credentials.
- Experience creating reusable IaC templates and automation accelerators.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, cloud automation, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure cloud environments and Azure subscriptions/hub-and-spoke architecture.
- Experience integrating Terraform with ServiceNow and enterprise ITSM platforms.
- Experience with Harness Infrastructure as Code Management (IaCM).
- Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in large enterprise cloud migration or modernization programs.
- Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD practices.
