Role Description The Hydra Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mohpa. The Hydra Operator will be responsible for operating Hydra cranes and related lifting equipment to move materials safely and efficiently on construction sites. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment before use, following load charts, coordinating with site supervisors and signalers, and adhering to safety protocols and site regulations. The role also involves assisting with basic maintenance checks, reporting equipment issues, and supporting general site activities when required. The Hydra Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure timely completion of lifting operations and overall project progress.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating Hydra cranes or similar lifting equipment, with a valid operator license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Solid understanding of safe lifting practices, load handling, and crane operation safety standards.
- Ability to read and follow basic instructions, load charts, and site plans relevant to lifting operations.
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in material handling roles is preferred.
- Physical ability to work in outdoor construction environments, including standing for long periods and handling manual tasks as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
