Chief Information Officer (CIO)

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join our dynamic team. As the CIO, you will be responsible for leading the IT strategy and operations, ensuring the efficient use of technology to support the Authority's objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the overall organizational goals and objectives. - Manage the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems, to ensure seamless operations and optimum performance. - Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide information systems and applications. - Ensure the security and integrity of the Authority's data and information assets, implementing robust cybersecurity measures. - Collaborate with various departments to identify and address their technology needs, providing efficient and effective IT solutions. - Lead and manage the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and exceptional service delivery. - Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend strategic initiatives to enhance the Authority's technological capabilities. - Represent the IT function and act as a trusted advisor to the senior management team, contributing to the overall decision-making process. Required Qualifications and Experience: - B.E./M.E., B.Tech./M.Tech., B.Sc./M.Sc., BCA/MCA from a recognized University in computer science, IT or a related field. - Additional IT and management certifications like Information Security / IT Risk Management / Cyber Security and Project Management are highly desirable. - Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in an IT leadership role, preferably in a public sector or government organization. - Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT strategies and delivering complex technology projects. - Strong understanding of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, including cloud computing, data management, and cybersecurity. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to think strategically, lead cross-functional teams, and drive organizational transformation through technology.
