Job Title: HVAC Design Lead – Life Sciences & R&D
Role SummaryWe are seeking a skilled HVAC Design Lead to drive end-to-end HVAC design solutions for Life Sciences and R&D facilities. This role involves understanding client requirements, developing design concepts, and delivering robust, compliant, and efficient HVAC systems tailored to specialized environments such as R&D labs, QC labs, manufacturing facilities, analytical labs, and semiconductor labs.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring high-performance environmental control systems that meet regulatory standards, operational efficiency, and sustainability goals. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to delivering technically sound and innovative solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Understand and interpret user/client requirements for Life Sciences and R&D facilities
- Develop HVAC design concepts aligned with project needs and regulatory standards
- Prepare RDS (Requirement Design Specifications) documentation
- Design and deliver HVAC solutions for:
- R&D Laboratories
- QC Laboratories
- Manufacturing Facilities
- Analytical Labs
- Semiconductor Labs
- Lead HVAC design for Life Sciences and R&D projects from concept through execution
- Prepare detailed HVAC drawings, layouts, and schematics
- Develop accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and specifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Coordinate with internal teams (MEP, architecture, project management) and external stakeholders
- Support value engineering, cost optimization, and sustainable design initiatives
What Success Looks Like- Delivery of high-quality, compliant, and efficient HVAC designs for complex lab environments
- Timely completion of design deliverables with minimal revisions
- Strong alignment of HVAC solutions with client requirements and project goals
- Effective leadership and coordination across multidisciplinary teams
- Contribution to innovation, sustainability, and cost optimization in HVAC design
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mechanical)
- Relevant experience in HVAC design for Life Sciences, labs, and similar specialized facilities preferred
