🔷 About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Design Engineer to design custom cooling systems for cold chain infrastructure. This includes blast freezers, cold rooms, and specialised refrigeration setups using heat load calculations and unique project requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on engineering challenges and enjoys building custom, non-standard systems instead of routine HVAC installations.
🔷 Key Responsibilities
- Design custom refrigeration and HVAC systems for cold rooms, blast freezers, and other cold chain setups.
- Perform detailed heat load calculations as per project scope.
- Size and select compressors, evaporators, condensers, valves, and controls.
- Create system layouts, design documents, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the drafting team to finalize technical drawings.
- Provide technical support to installation and commissioning teams.
- Ensure systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
🔷 Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in HVAC or refrigeration system design.
- Strong knowledge of heat load calculations and cooling system engineering.
- Experience in designing cold rooms, chillers, or refrigeration systems.
- Hands-on understanding of compressor selection, refrigerants, and system components.
- Ability to work on custom-designed, non-standard engineered systems.
