Role Description The HVAC Cold Room Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. The technician will install, commission, and maintain cold rooms and related HVAC systems, including refrigeration units, insulation panels, piping, and controls. Daily tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, checking temperature controls and sensors, and ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with project engineers and site teams, and keeping accurate service and maintenance records. The technician is expected to follow safety protocols, adhere to industry standards, and provide timely technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in refrigeration and HVAC systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cold rooms.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals, with basic understanding of electrical and mechanical components.
- Knowledge of temperature control systems, insulation panels, and related materials used in cold storage applications.
- Experience with tools, instruments, and testing equipment commonly used in HVAC and refrigeration servicing.
- Commitment to safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and awareness of relevant industry and regulatory standards.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently or as part of a site team.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with supervisors, colleagues, and customers, and for preparing clear service reports.
- Relevant technical qualification or certification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, HVAC, or a related field; prior experience in cold room or industrial refrigeration is highly beneficial.
