About the role

Role: Lead Security Engineer

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid, 2 days in office, 3 days work from home)

Comp: 140-175k base + bonus

A Boston-based asset management firm specializing in investment-grade fixed-income portfolio management is looking for a Security Engineer to lead their security engineering efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Administering security infrastructure for overall firm
  • Monitor, manage and configure a range of security products (such as darktrace, palo alto, exabeam, forcepoint, Illumio, Varonis and more)
  • Investigate and resolve security related requests
  • Partner with infrastructure team on project work for the firm
  • Maintain and test security environment
  • Oversee annual penetration testing and tabletop exercises

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years' experience supporting the IT Security infrastructure of a regulated industry such as financial services
  • Experience working with a range of security tools and technologies
  • Understanding of incident response lifecycle
  • Experience with purple team exercises
  • Detail oriented and able to identify/troubleshoot issues
  • Strong overall communication skills
