Compensation: $60,000-$80,000 Annually

Lumber Operations Manager Job Summary
The Lumber Operations Manager leads all daily lumber yard and warehouse operations for an assigned site. This role is the primary on-site leader responsible for safety, inventory accuracy, team leadership, and operational execution. The manager ensures on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries while maintaining strong yard organization, compliance, and performance.

Lumber Operations Manager Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily yard, warehouse, and distribution operations
- Oversee receiving, picking, staging, loading, and outbound deliveries
- Own inventory management, cycle counts, stock rotation, and accuracy
- Manage will call orders, special orders, EWP, and returns
- Lead and develop supervisors and operators; enforce training and safety standards
- Ensure OSHA compliance, yard safety, and equipment care
- Approve timecards, manage labor efficiency, and review daily reports
- Maintain facilities, tools, forklifts, and yard organization
- Drive continuous improvement and execution of company programs
Lumber Operations Manager Qualifications
- Operations or warehouse leadership experience (lumber or building materials preferred)
- Strong inventory, safety, and people-management background
- Metrics-driven and accountable leader
- Forklift and Load Warrior Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Servant-leader mindset with hands-on leadership style
