We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Insurance Biller to join our team at Humantold. This crucial role is responsible for the timely and accurate submission of medical claims, payment processing, and managing all aspects of the revenue cycle, ensuring the financial health of this mental health practice. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and submit electronic and paper medical claims to various insurance carriers.
• Follow up diligently on all unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims and manage the appeals process.
• Accurately process and post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services being rendered.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and all medical billing compliance regulations.
• Answer complex billing and insurance-related inquiries from team and insurance companies with professionalism and clarity.
• Perform accurate data entry of patient and billing information into the practice management system
• Collaborate with the Client Services Department to resolve billing-related discrepancies

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in medical insurance billing or coding.
  

• Proficiency in a medical billing software or Practice Management System.
  

• Strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology.

• In-depth understanding of insurance verification, claim submission, and denial management processes.
  

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google Docs.
  

• Comfortable with Google Meet meetings (camera required).

• Excellent analytical, data entry, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
