Role Overview

We are seeking two highly skilled Humanities Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to join our team for the development of the AI Literacy project. This role focuses on the intersection of Humanities and emerging technology. The successful candidates will apply content expertise in Social Studies or ELA, along with a deep understanding of AI technology, to author high-quality instructional scripts, assignments, and assessments designed for the US Curriculum secondary education students.


Duration: 6-month contract

Availability required: Full-time (1:00-10:00 PM IST)


Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit engaging instructional scripts, student assignments, and performance-based assessments focused on AI literacy.
  • Analyze standards and curriculum requirements to develop blueprints and scope-and-sequence documents for the AI Literacy product.
  • Leverage experience with AI technology to create content that teaches students how to navigate, evaluate, and utilize AI ethically and effectively.
  • Follow project-specific guidelines to ensure consistent application of instructional design principles across digital and print formats.
  • Review and refine content for pedagogical accuracy, grade-level appropriateness (Secondary), and alignment with project goals.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and collaborate with project leads to meet aggressive development milestones.
  • Set priorities and manage workflows to ensure all deliverables are met by the project end date of June 26, 2026.
  • Other duties as required.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English/ELA, or History/Social Studies (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven background in secondary education (Middle or High School) and curriculum development.
  • Exposure to the US Curriculum for grades 6 -12
  • Strong experience in assessment authoring, including the creation of performance tasks and rubrics.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI technology (e.g., generative AI tools, AI ethics, or AI-integrated classroom practices).
  • Impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to write in a tone appropriate for secondary learners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort learning new content management systems or digital authoring tools.
  • Excellent time management, adaptability to shifting project needs, and the ability to work independently in a remote/contractual capacity
