About SPOT
SPOT is a project-based learning studio built for:
• Curious learners
• Gifted & twice-exceptional (2E) children
• Homeschoolers and those who find traditional classrooms limiting
We move beyond textbooks to help children:

• Understand the world

Role Overview
We are looking for a Humanities & Systems Facilitator who can help learners make sense of the world — not just memorise it.
This role goes beyond teaching history or social studies.
It is about helping children understand:
• How societies function
• Why systems behave the way they do
• How to think independently and form opinions
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate Deep Learning (Not Rote Teaching)
• Teach humanities through:
• Stories
• Case studies
• Real-world connections
• Move from:
• Memorisation → Meaning-making
2. Work with Gifted & 2E Learners
• Design learning experiences that:
• Challenge gifted learners with depth and complexity
• Support 2E learners with flexible, personalized approaches
• Adapt teaching based on:
• Learning styles
• Curiosity and pace
3. Lead Discussion & Thinking Spaces
• Facilitate:
• Debates
• Socratic discussions
• Perspective-building sessions
• Encourage learners to:
• Ask better questions
• Challenge assumptions
• Build reasoned opinions
4. Integrate Across Studios
Collaborate with other facilitators to bring real-world connections:
• Business Studio → economy, markets
• Psychology → behaviour and society
• AI Studio → impact of technology
5. Support IGCSE & NIOS Pathways
Guide learners through:
IGCSE:
• History
• Geography
• Global Perspectives
NIOS:
• Social Science
• History
• Political Science
• Sociology
While maintaining a concept-first, non-rote approach
Who We’re Looking For
Must-have:
• Strong understanding of:
• History, society, and current affairs
• Ability to explain concepts through:
• Stories, examples, and discussions
• Comfort working with gifted and 2E learners
Good to have:
• Background in:
• Liberal arts / humanities
• Policy / journalism / social sciences
• Experience in:
• Project-based or alternative education
This Role Is NOT For You If:
• You rely on textbooks and memorisation
• You prefer lecture-style teaching
• You are focused only on completing syllabus
