Description

Our Market Research Interns will be part of a cohort of several Interns, working to support our client-facing research teams within our Ghent and Manchester offices.

We are looking for people who are interested in helping global brands activate change, and explore the worlds of: consultancy, market research and insights.

Starting September 2025, 12-month period, our Market Research Interns will gain experience at carrying out a range of tasks that relate to being a research professional in the consultative Market Research and Insights industry, such as:


  • Project management and organisation
  • Qualitative research skills
  • Quantitative research skills
  • AI capabilities
  • Developing impactful deliverables


This is in addition to learning foundational employment skills and set you up for your future career!

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with experienced colleagues you will get the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, including (but not limited to):

Project Management


  • Assisting in the planning, setting up and management of online research projects.
  • Collaborating well with our Project Support Team.
  • Developing sufficient understanding of the research process at Human8 to manage a simple project(s) by the end of your internship.


Activity Design


  • You attend and participate in meetings and brainstorms, developing the skills to input into these effectively by the end of your internship.


Fieldwork


  • Supporting with online text-based moderation for online discussions or diaries.
  • Gaining exposure to our survey management tools, and updating internal communicate internal colleagues on progress / challenges.


Analysis and Reporting


  • Improve your analysis skills, to support with the interpretation and reporting of research projects.
  • Support with developing draft conclusions and recommendations.
  • Gaining reporting and visual communication skills by working on PowerPoint report deliverables.
  • Exploring external sources (e.g. Trends reports / industry news) to help add context to research findings and deliverables.


Presenting


  • You grow experience by presenting internally.
  • Over time, you may attend client presentations / debriefs and where relevant.


Account Management / Commercial Management


  • You gain experience and exposure to clients.
  • You gain a level of understanding about account management.
  • Learn commercial objectives and targets of your team.
  • Support and understand the budgeting of projects.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Though we’re open to strong applications from a range of courses, our internship may be most relevant for those obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Marketing, or Market Research Proficient English skills (both written and spoken).
  • A fundamental knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), though upskilling across these will be a key focus of the Internship.
  • Hardworking and determined to acquire new skills during the internship.
  • Reliable and a team player who is open to collaborating across teams or working individually.
  • A keen interest in consumer psychology, human behaviour, or marketing is a plus.
  • Proactive and ready to make a positive impact.
  • Great collaboration skills as you will be working with other interns!
