HR Supervisor – Job Description

Position Summary
The HR Supervisor will primarily manage recruitment and talent acquisition activities for the hotel, ensuring timely hiring of qualified candidates across operational and managerial roles. The role also supports core HR operations including employee engagement, onboarding, attendance coordination, compliance support, training coordination, and HR administration.
This position requires strong hospitality recruitment experience, people management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (70%)
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for all hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B Service, Kitchen, Sales, Engineering, Security, and Finance.
- Coordinate manpower planning with department heads.
- Source candidates through job portals, social media, consultancies, campus hiring, employee referrals, and walk-ins.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with department managers.
- Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate databases, and hiring reports.
- Ensure timely closure of vacancies within defined timelines.
- Conduct reference checks and documentation verification.
- Coordinate joining formalities and pre-employment documentation.
- Build talent pipelines for operational and seasonal hiring needs.
- Support employer branding and recruitment drives.
- Ensure positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
B. HR Operations & Generalist Activities (30%)
- Assist in employee onboarding and induction programs.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Support attendance, leave, and shift coordination processes.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities and welfare initiatives.
- Assist in training coordination and performance review processes.
- Support statutory compliance documentation and audit preparation.
- Handle employee queries related to HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in disciplinary processes and grievance handling.
- Prepare HR reports and MIS as required by management.
- Ensure adherence to hotel policies, grooming standards, and workplace ethics.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree/MBA in Human Resources or related field.
- 3–6 years of HR experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Strong experience in hotel recruitment and staffing.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software systems.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
