Job Description: HR Manager (Operations & Administration)
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 6 - 8 years
Preferred Joiner: Immediate joiners or candidates with a 30-day notice period
Must-Have: Startup experience
Work mode: Mon-Thu in office (Friday WFH)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic HR Manager with a strong focus on Operations Administration and Policy Management. As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving efficient HR operations, implementing HR policies, managing administrative tasks, and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure smooth business functioning. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a startup environment, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Administration:
- Manage day-to-day HR operations.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, ensuring issues are resolved with fairness and confidentiality.
- Counsel and support managers and employees in navigating workplace challenges.
- manage performance appraisal systems to foster continuous feedback and growth.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development strategies
- Oversee HR systems management to streamline processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee information.
- Coordinate with TA team and manage employee onboarding, offboarding, and other lifecycle events.
Policy Development & Implementation:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Ensure the alignment of HR policies with the company’s culture, values, and mission.
- Provide guidance and support on policy interpretation, offering solutions to challenges in implementation.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates to HR policies and employee handbooks.
Employee Engagement:
- Assist in driving employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive work culture.
- update, and communicate HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational values.
- Ensure policies are well-documented, understood, and adhered to by all employees
- Support employee wellbeing initiatives and ensure a healthy and balanced work environment.
HR Data Management & Reporting:
- Analyze HR metrics and create reports for senior management to assess organizational effectiveness.
- Track key performance indicators related to HR operations and employee satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 6 to 8 years in HR operations with a strong focus on operations, administration, policy management etc.
- Industry: Experience working in a startup environment is a must-have; ability to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic work settings.
- Knowledge of HR Processes: Strong knowledge of HR best practices, operations management, and statutory compliances in India.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with a diverse team.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with HR software, HRMS systems, and MS Office tools.
- Problem Solving: Proactive in addressing HR challenges, with a focus on solutions and continuous improvement.
- Educational Qualification: A degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. Psychology certifications will be a plus.
