About XS Worldwide
XS Worldwide is a 35-year-old global exhibit and experiential partner with offices in India, North America, and Europe. We run 95+ shows annually across 4 continents for clients in aerospace, defense, pharma, and technology. We are a team of ~45 people — lean, globally distributed, and in our strongest growth phase yet.
The Role
We are looking for an HR Manager who can build and own the people function at XS Worldwide — not maintain it. This is a strategic hire reporting directly to the CGO, with full ownership of policy, culture, and talent.
What you will own
Policy & Compliance
— Design and maintain HR policies across the India entity
— Ensure statutory compliance: PF, ESIC, gratuity, LWF, and applicable labour law
— Own the employee handbook, SOPs, and contract templates
Culture & Engagement
— Own the employee experience from onboarding to offboarding
— Design and run engagement initiatives for a globally distributed team
— Partner with leadership on org design, headcount planning, and people risk
Hiring & Onboarding
— End-to-end hiring for India-based roles: JD creation, sourcing, offer management
— Build an onboarding experience that gets new hires productive and culturally embedded fast
— Maintain a talent pipeline for recurring roles
What you bring
— 5–8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in an independent or lead role
— Strong working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance
— Experience in a fast-growing, founder-led, or professionally managed SME
— Comfort building without infrastructure — you create what does not exist
— Strong written and verbal communication; you will interface with global stakeholders
— Working knowledge of Keka HR; we use it for employee management, leaves, and payroll workflows
What success looks like at 6 months
— Every India-based employee has a current, signed contract with accurate CTC structure
— A compliant HR policy framework is in place and communicated
— A structured onboarding program has been run at least twice
— At least two open roles closed independently
— Leadership trusts you as a people partner, not just HR admin
— The team sees culture as something that helps them do better work — not a checkbox or a company obligation
