Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role based in Surat. The Human Resources Manager will oversee end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for plant and office staff. The role involves developing and implementing HR policies, managing performance appraisal cycles, and supporting training and development initiatives. The HR Manager will handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and engagement activities to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Day-to-day responsibilities also include compliance with labor laws, maintaining HR records, coordinating with management on manpower requirements, and supporting payroll inputs and time-attendance processes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee life cycle management.
- Experience in performance management, goal setting, and supporting training and development programs.
- Knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR policy implementation in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in HR documentation, HRIS or HR software tools, and basic MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage employee engagement initiatives and support a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or HR certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or automotive components environment, preferably in a plant HR role, is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Surat, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
