Job Description : Manager- Human Resources
We are seeking a skilled and people-oriented HR Manager to oversee all human resource functions at our international schools. This role involves recruitment, employee relations, policy development, and compliance. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive workplace aligned with the group's values and international environment.
This role will entail managing the people agenda of the Vidyashilp schools and University.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the school’s vision and academic goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to school leadership on HR policies, staffing, and organizational culture.
- Lead the school’s HR team and collaborate with department heads to ensure effective people management.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment for academic, administrative, and support staff.
- Design and implement effective onboarding and induction programs to integrate new hires into the school culture.
- Improve employee experience from entry to exit.
Performance Management
- Drive a transparent performance appraisal for the schools.
- Coach supervisors and department heads on goal-setting, feedback, and employee development.
- Intervene and work along with stakeholders to improve the performance and productivity of the faculty and staff.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a positive work environment through regular employee engagement programs.
- Design and implement rewards and recognition programs for employees.
- Manage grievance redressal, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in accordance with school policies and legal compliance.
Training & Development
- Identify and organize professional development workshops for teachers & staff.
- Collaborate with educational leaders to design leadership and succession planning programs.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee that team maintains accurate employee records, contracts, and payroll coordination.
- Lead the HR audits, health& safety regulations from an HR perspective.
Key Requirements:
Education:
- MBA or PGDM in Human Resources, or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience:
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in HR, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in the education sector or a knowledge-based organization is highly desirable.
- Candidates with start up experience will be preffered.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of labour codes, compliance, and HR systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Proficient in HRMS software and MS Suite. (Eg. GreytHR, Darwinbox, Keka etc)
