Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end HR function. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing recruitment and onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, and ensuring fair and consistent HR policies and practices. The role involves handling performance management cycles, supporting learning and development initiatives, and addressing employee relations issues with a focus on engagement and retention. The Human Resources Manager will also ensure compliance with labor laws and relevant regulations, coordinate payroll and benefits-related information with finance, and contribute to workforce planning and organizational development. Collaboration with leadership and departmental managers to support a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture is a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Experience in core HR functions such as recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and regulatory compliance applicable in India.
- Skills in HR operations, including HR data management, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
- Ability to design and support training, learning, and development programs to build employee capabilities.
- Competence in organizational development, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across teams.
- Proficiency with HRIS or HR-related software and basic MS Office tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate HR qualification or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role, preferably in manufacturing or export-oriented organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality and professional integrity.
