About the job
The HR Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the full employee lifecycle across Pelsis' India operations, supporting both our rapidly growing Pune Centre of Excellence and our Chakan manufacturing facility. This role partners with business leaders to deliver operational HR excellence across recruitment, employee relations, payroll, compliance, performance management, employee engagement, and organisational development.
Working closely with local leadership and the Global HR team, the HR Manager will help build scalable people practices that support business growth while ensuring compliance with Indian labour legislation and Group HR standards.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead HR operations across our Pune Centre of Excellence and Chakan manufacturing facility.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, promotions, transfers, and offboarding.
- Partner with leaders to recruit specialist talent across B2C, E-commerce, digital, customer service, technology, manufacturing, and professional functions.
- Support organisational growth through workforce planning, organisational design, and capability development.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and people leadership.
- Ensure compliance with Indian labour legislation, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Coordinate payroll processes and HR administration in partnership with Finance and external providers.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Develop and continuously improve HR processes, systems, and reporting to support business performance.
- Provide HR insights and workforce reporting to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Global HR team to ensure consistent application of Group policies and HR best practice.
- Support organisational change initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
What You'll Bring
- Significant HR generalist experience supporting both manufacturing operations and commercial or professional functions within an international organisation.
- Experience recruiting for E-commerce, digital marketing, marketplace, Amazon listing/content, customer service, or similar commercial roles.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour legislation, employment law, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing the full employee lifecycle.
- Strong employee relations experience with the ability to advise and coach managers.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and statutory employment obligations.
- Experience establishing HR standards and scalable people processes within growing organisations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting B2C, E-commerce, digital, customer service, or other high-growth commercial environments.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.

- Experience supporting both early-stage business growth and established manufacturing operations.
- Experience working within international or matrix organisations.
- Knowledge of factory employment practices and industrial relations.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation.
- Professional HR qualification.
Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will regularly collaborate and communicate with colleagues, and stakeholders across multiple international markets.
The successful candidate will be required to provide HR support across both our Baner office and Chakan manufacturing facility and must be willing and able to travel regularly between the two sites.
