Role Description The Human Resources Manager will oversee end-to-end HR operations and support a positive, inclusive work culture at Nextal Academy. This full-time, on-site role is based in Nagercoil and involves managing recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure the academy attracts and retains strong talent. The HR Manager will handle performance management processes, employee relations, and policy implementation, while ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and organizational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining HR records, coordinating training and development initiatives, administering compensation and benefits, and advising leadership on HR best practices. The role also involves partnering with academic and administrative teams to align HR strategies with the academy’s mission of building industry-ready skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Strong skills in HR policy development, compliance with labor laws, and HR documentation and reporting.
- Ability to design and implement training, development, and engagement initiatives that support staff growth and retention.
- Proficiency in HRIS or HR management tools, along with solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fairness and inclusivity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications are an advantage.
- Previous experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role, ideally in an educational or training-focused environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Nagercoil and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
