Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for overseeing end-to-end HR operations and fostering a positive workplace culture. Daily responsibilities include managing recruitment and onboarding, maintaining employee records, and administering compensation, benefits, and leave. The role involves developing and implementing HR policies, handling performance management processes, and supporting learning and development initiatives. The Human Resources Manager will address employee relations issues, ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards, and collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development. The role also requires preparing HR reports, monitoring HR metrics, and supporting change management and engagement activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong HR operations and administration skills, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and HR policy implementation.
- Candidates should possess expertise in employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution to support a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of compensation and benefits, payroll coordination, and compliance with local labor laws and HR regulations.
- Candidates should possess skills in HR data analysis, reporting, and use of HRIS or related HR technology tools.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build trust at all levels.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications (such as SHRM or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an HR managerial or senior HR generalist role, preferably in industrial, logistics, or energy-related sectors, is beneficial.
